typical roles and responsibilities for Scientist – Gene Therapy

  • Design, develop and conduct experiments, analyze, interpret, and report data on in vitro studies in support of the company’s target discovery programs.
  • Responsible for data analysis and interpretation, troubleshooting issues and follow up experiment for in vitro related projects
  • Good communication skills and experience to writing protocols, procedures, and technical reports; provide input for scientific reports.
  • Collaborate across our Research and Development division to drive projects progression toward key milestones

Requirements for Scientist – Gene Therapy – Scientific

  • PhD, MS or BS in molecular biology or a related field.
  • Min. 1-year wet lab experience with a biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture are a must
  • Experienced in molecular biology skills (molecular cloning, DNA and RNA handling etc.)
  • Experience in developing in vitro and in vivo model systems
  • Proficiency with in vitro stem cell models and assays is required.
  • Experience in developing in vitro and in vivo model systems
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Preferred: knowledge of CRISPR systems and mechanics and/or protein engineering
