Startup biotech company in San Francisco is seeking Scientists with mammalian cell culture and molecular cloning experience to work on gene therapy target discovery projects.
typical roles and responsibilities for Scientist – Gene Therapy
Design, develop and conduct experiments, analyze, interpret, and report data on in vitro studies in support of the company’s target discovery programs.
Responsible for data analysis and interpretation, troubleshooting issues and follow up experiment for in vitro related projects
Good communication skills and experience to writing protocols, procedures, and technical reports; provide input for scientific reports.
Collaborate across our Research and Development division to drive projects progression toward key milestones
Requirements for Scientist – Gene Therapy – Scientific
PhD, MS or BS in molecular biology or a related field.
Min. 1-year wet lab experience with a biotech or pharmaceutical company
Experience with mammalian cell culture are a must
Experienced in molecular biology skills (molecular cloning, DNA and RNA handling etc.)
Experience in developing in vitro and in vivo model systems
Proficiency with in vitro stem cell models and assays is required.
Experience in developing in vitro and in vivo model systems
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally
Strong data analysis skills
Preferred: knowledge of CRISPR systems and mechanics and/or protein engineering
