SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER

Sr. Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the purchasing of consumables to meet customer demands.
• Sourcing and visiting existing and potential new suppliers to kick off new models (Programs).
• Responsibility for structuring vendor blanket orders to support manufacturing.
• Issue RFQ’s to obtain best price.
• Establishing supplier relationships and building existing supplier relationships.
• Issue letters of intent after selection process and approval.
• Responsible for meeting the delivery, quality and cost.
• Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for the staff.
• Proactive in resolving problem and/or conflicts.
• Consistently demonstrates a positive management.
• Lead, Manage & Motivate employees in such a way as to promote and maintain a high level of trust and integrity with all employees.
• Complies with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.

Sr. Purchasing Manager Education/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• A strong background and working knowledge of Automotive industry purchasing standards
• Experience with plastic suppliers and pricing structures
• Ability to negotiate product pricing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• High degree of professionalism along with organizational skills, tact, and diplomacy.
