Position: Reliability Engineering Manager

Location: Lebanon, Tennessee

Primary Function

As the Reliability Engineering Manager, you will provide strategic direction to your team for specific projects or products. Managing the entire reliability program lifecycle, you will ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, applying advanced engineering principles within your specialized field.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all reliability-related activities.
  • Onboard new products and support existing ones, including water heaters, tankless water heaters, water filtration systems, etc.
  • Coordinate the creation of reliability test plans for residential engineering projects.
  • Supervise FMEA activities for residential engineering projects.
  • Analyze warranty data and collaborate with engineering project teams.
  • Coordinate engineering support for field issues across multiple departments.
  • Develop and execute objectives for yourself and your team.
  • Manage projects, providing guidance, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Utilize CAE tools such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA, and interpret results.
  • Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on engineering issues.
  • Communicate technical material effectively to internal business units.
  • Identify valuable projects and establish technical requirements.
  • Set objectives for timing, resources, and funding requirements for projects.
  • Manage budgets and timelines to ensure project goals are met.
  • Conduct regular status meetings, keeping the team informed of changes or progress in project direction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD + 7 years in engineering or related sciences.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of related work experience as a product engineering manager.
  • 4+ years of supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Ability to travel as required.
