Superintendent

A well-established, client-focused commercial contractor and construction manager in the Capital Region of New York State is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Project Superintendent to join our team. This role involves leading project teams in the field, with a focus on both General Construction and Construction Management delivery methods. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage complex commercial projects.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of field supervision experience in general construction or construction management
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects valued between $1M and $20M
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational abilities to coordinate multiple trades, personnel, and suppliers effectively
  • Comprehensive understanding of structural, architectural, and MEP systems
  • Financial acumen to maintain project budgets
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling and planning
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and daily reporting tools such as Raken; experience with project management software like Procore
  • Availability to work on-site at job locations
  • College degree preferred but not mandatory if experience is substantial
  • OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30-hour preferred
  • Training and development opportunities for highly motivated candidates

Job Description: As a Project Superintendent, you will oversee all on-site activities for large construction projects, working closely with the Project Manager to coordinate project tasks, scheduling, and material procurement. This role requires collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, clients, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed successfully. The position involves travel across the Capital Region, with occasional travel throughout New York State based on specific project needs.
