Exciting Opportunity: Project Manager

We are a client-focused commercial contractor based in the Albany, New York area, seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to take on challenging construction projects and manage them from concept through completion. Key Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in general construction or construction management
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with extensive experience
  • Proven track record in managing commercial projects ranging from $2M to $25M
  • Proficient in cost estimation, scheduling, and project management
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including structural, architectural, and MEP
  • Solid financial skills to oversee budgets and project costs
  • Experience with industry-standard software such as Procore, Timberline, Primavera, Suretrack, or Phoenix
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance office and on-site responsibilities

Job Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution of all phases from initial estimating and budgeting through scheduling and final delivery. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, and internal teams to achieve project objectives, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Collaboration with field teams, particularly the Project Superintendent, is essential. While most work is in the Capital Region, occasional travel across New York State is required based on project needs.
