Position:    Production Manager – Nonwoven Mfg

Location:  North Carolina

 

Nonwoven Manufacture in North Carolina is recruiting an experienced Production Manager.

 

If you have solid experience in nonwoven manufacturing, this is an opportunity to step up into a manager position with a well established company.

 

Individuals looking to relocate to North Carolina will be considered.  Some relo expenses provided.

 

Responsibilities:

      Manage U.S. Production of the non-woven textile continuous process line

      Direct the work of the Production Team to manage performance

      Set up procedures and standards of performance

      Convert daily reports into graphed data to check progress and ensure continuous improvement

      Analyze work delays and quality issues to discover and remedy root cause problems

      Ensure compliance with company rules, regulations, and policies

      Involved and responsible for staffing, continuous improvement, product quality and quantity, and safety

      Help to create and sustain a culture of safety and efficiency on the production floor

      Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the site quality

      Achieve excellence in operations while encouraging professional growth

 

Cross Department Interaction

      Assist the plant manager and safety manager with the implementation of the site safety systems

      Work with Human Resources to evaluate and recommend staffing needs, shift needs, and employee welfare programs

      Develop strategic plan with the Maintenance department to maximize line efficiency

      Co-chair the safety committee and working to promote safety policies and practices

      Support training and development initiatives

 

Requirements:

      A four year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or relevant field

      3+ years of experience as a production manager

      Experience in 24/7 manufacturing facility a plus

      Worked in nonwoven manufacturing

      Working knowledge of Lean, TOC, and Six Sigma techniques

      Excellent computer skills

      Proven leadership skills
