We are looking for a caring, energetic, and self-starting Music Therapist to join a growing team dedicated to improving lives through music therapy in the Delaware Valley, PA. If you are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, this position is for you!

The Music Therapist will conduct small group sessions both in and near Havertown and Hatboro community locations. This role requires someone flexible, with availability for varied schedules—including mornings, afternoons, and evenings—from Tuesday to Saturday.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments for new clients.

  • Develop and write individualized music therapy treatment plans.

  • Facilitate music therapy sessions in centers and/or community-based programs.

  • Document progress with detailed progress notes.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations in all client interactions.

  • Treat clients facing challenges such as:

    • Autism spectrum disorders

    • Down syndrome

    • Cerebral palsy

    • Genetic abnormalities

    • Intellectual disabilities

    • Alzheimer’s

    • Depression

  • Ensure professional documentation standards are met.

  • Communicate effectively with management, personnel, and parents/caregivers.

  • Work independently while contributing to a clinical team.

  • Maintain professional competence in accordance with organizational and professional standards.

  • Use a variety of instruments, including your singing voice, to engage clients.

  • Complete all duties promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Music Therapy (MT-BC).

  • If board-eligible, a letter from CBMT confirming exam date is required for interview.

  • One or more years of clinical experience in music therapy, specifically with autism and intellectual disabilities.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.

  • Prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.

  • Clearances required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Required)

Experience:

  • Music Therapy: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • MT-BC (Required)
