                                  Manufacturing – Process Engineer 
 
           Salary : $ 80,000- $ 95,000 + 1 Share of Stock per every $1 in Salary

Qualifications

  • B.S. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science & Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role overseeing fabrication of electronic ceramics or semiconductor materials in an industrial / manufacturing company
  • Ideally this experience will be from Silicon chip, MEMS, or other sensor manufacturing industries
  • Proven experience in complex electronic and/or sensor manufacturing, with standalone ability to conduct problem solving and continuous improvement projects in their area of responsibility
  • Experienced operating in an ISO 9001 quality management system – e.g
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable leading or working in teams
  • Data driven with proven background in using data analysis using advanced Excel or SAS JMP

Responsibilities

  • This role will be responsible for establishing/controlling processes, data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the sensor fabrication areas that deliver the final product to our customers

  • Technical ownership of one or several sensor surface etching or polishing processes
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of process capability, throughput, and cost
  • Ensures the safety of employees and customers through safety risk assessments, engineering controls for safety measures, and quick resolution of safety risks in their processes
  • Leads both proactive and reactive problem-solving efforts in their process area with responsibility for solving problems at a root cause level
  • Works with Production and R&D to develop new process capabilities to support production of new CZT sensor products being transferred and released from R&D/NPD
  • Technical lead for production engineering projects, e.g. capacity expansion, new equipment installation, process development and qualification
  • Works with Test Engineering to analyze test data and improve sensor performance in downstream processes
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to improve the production process yields and costs within their areas of responsibility
  • Represents production team in design reviews of NPD projects to ensure new products are released to production smoothly and on time
  • Ensures process capability metrics, Cp, Cpk, GRR, etc
  • are adequate for their processes and drives improvement where required
  • Produces work instructions / production floor documentation to enable efficient, high quality product manufacturing
  • Trains the production team to those documents
  • Develops, owns, and executes an improvement roadmap for their processes
  • Develops, monitors, and reports KPI’s that demonstrate the process is working correctly and not deviating
  • Administers Jira board for associated projects to coordinate and organize tasks
  • Demonstrated capability to use industry best practice lean, SPC, and 6-sigma tools to deliver results
  • SOPs, process control, and change management practices
  • Excellent skills in root cause problem solving and implementation of preventative controls
  • Demonstrated examples of actions to ensure a safe working environment for employees
  • Color vision required for color-coded safety markers and production processes
  • Demonstrated capability to work with and train production operators in new or modified processes and work instructions
