Job Description
- Represent employers in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, wage and hour disputes, class and collective actions, and federal/state employment law compliance
- Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and manage discovery processes
- Handle depositions and witness interviews
- Advise employers on employment law compliance, including ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and COVID-related regulations, as well as disability accommodations and leave policies
- Potential to engage in labor relations, such as labor negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of substantive experience in employment litigation
- Strong understanding of California employment law
- Experience with legal research, drafting, and discovery management
- Trial or arbitration experience preferred
- Ability to provide sound advice on federal and state labor laws
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
- Admission to the California Bar required
