Fabrication Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our job shop team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and blueprint reading. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and other technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
- Measure and cut metal materials to specified dimensions using various cutting tools and equipment.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders.
- Weld mild steel and stainless steel components according to project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a fabrication welder in a job shop environment.
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and tape measures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding certifications.
- Experience with fabrication equipment and machinery.
