Our client is a growing scientific services firm that operates a specialized laboratory focused on advanced analytical testing for biomedical and pharmaceutical research. Using highly sensitive measurement platforms and isotope-based techniques, the organization supports complex studies ranging from early discovery through late-stage clinical development.

Join as their VP of Biomarkers, a key member of the executive leadership group. This position is responsible for guiding client programs, expanding commercial partnerships, and strengthening scientific capabilities. This role blends technical expertise, client engagement, program oversight, and strategic development.

Qualifications of the VP of Biomarkers:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related life science discipline

  • 10+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience in biomedical or biotechnology environments

  • Demonstrated expertise in isotope-based metabolic tracing and biomarker analysis

  • Strong background in mass spectrometry and advanced analytical platforms

  • Experience supporting preclinical and clinical research programs

  • Familiarity with lipid metabolism, protein turnover, and related assay systems preferred

  • Proven ability to lead complex scientific and client-facing projects

  • Experience contributing to commercial discussions, proposals, or technical sales efforts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and strategically

Key Responsibilities of the VP of Biomarkers

  • Serve as a scientific subject-matter expert throughout the sales and client engagement process

  • Partner with commercial teams to support proposals, study design, and technical positioning

  • Lead client programs from protocol development through data delivery and reporting

  • Review and interpret complex analytical datasets and validation materials

  • Support laboratory teams in resolving technical and methodological challenges

  • Direct internal research initiatives aimed at expanding testing and assay capabilities

  • Identify new market opportunities through scientific and industry analysis

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors, collaborators, and partners

  • Develop and present technical and commercial materials for prospective clients

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs

  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and sales leadership to ensure organizational alignment
