JOB TITLE: Tax Manager
OFFICE LOCATION: Long Island, NY
PLEASE NOTE: All interviews are kept confidential.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join my client’s team who is one of the largest and most renowned companies in the industry! The Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing the tax compliance, planning, and accounting for income taxes. We are looking for a qualified individual who has expertise in planning for pass-through entities that cater to high-net-worth individuals.

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay current with changes in tax legislation
  • Conduct thorough research on corporate, individual, and state taxes
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns including analysis and support
  • Manage audits of federal and state tax income
  • Develop strategic tax planning initiatives
  • Communicate frequently with operating management regarding tax issues
  • Collaborate with accounting staff to address any tax accounting matters
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Provide valuable business recommendations to clients
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
  • Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Enrolled Agent certification.
  • Strong experience with corporate and individual tax returns.
  • Experience with compliance is preferred.
  • Audit experience is preferred but not required.
  • Seven or more years of related tax consulting experience.
  • Experience with Partnership and Trust returns.
  • Estate and Gift Tax returns experience is preferred.
 
In addition to the above qualifications, the ideal candidate should possess:
  • Knowledge of S Corp returns is preferred.
  • Experience training and developing staff members.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting all deadlines.
