Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Board Certified Tax Attorney for Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to corporate and individual clients. They will also have a strong understanding of state and federal tax laws, as well as the ability to develop and implement sophisticated tax strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to corporate and individual clients
- Advise clients on a wide range of tax matters, including corporate taxation, partnership taxation, LLC taxation, estate planning, tax-exempt organizations, and tax litigation
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals
- Represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities
- Develop and implement sophisticated tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
- Stay up-to-date on changes in state and federal tax laws
- Write and publish articles on tax law topics
- Give presentations on tax law topics to clients and professional groups
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in the state of Florida
- Board Certification in Tax Law by The Florida Bar
- 5+ years of experience in tax law
- Proven track record of success in providing tax planning and compliance services to corporate and individual clients
- Strong understanding of state and federal tax laws
- Ability to develop and implement sophisticated tax strategies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation
- Experience in international tax law
- Own book of business
