Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Board Certified Tax Attorney for Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to corporate and individual clients. They will also have a strong understanding of state and federal tax laws, as well as the ability to develop and implement sophisticated tax strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to corporate and individual clients
  • Advise clients on a wide range of tax matters, including corporate taxation, partnership taxation, LLC taxation, estate planning, tax-exempt organizations, and tax litigation
  • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals
  • Represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities
  • Develop and implement sophisticated tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in state and federal tax laws
  • Write and publish articles on tax law topics
  • Give presentations on tax law topics to clients and professional groups

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Florida
  • Board Certification in Tax Law by The Florida Bar
  • 5+ years of experience in tax law
  • Proven track record of success in providing tax planning and compliance services to corporate and individual clients
  • Strong understanding of state and federal tax laws
  • Ability to develop and implement sophisticated tax strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation
  • Experience in international tax law
  • Own book of business
