Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Reno, Nevada

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in Reno, Nevada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in surgical operations, preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and helping doctors during surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are sterile and in place.
  • Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
  • Monitor and maintain the sterility of the operating environment to ensure patient safety.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning them on the operating table and covering them with sterile drapes.
  • Handle specimens collected during surgery for laboratory analysis.
  • Clean and restock the operating room after procedures, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and properly stored.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists, to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an operating room environment is a plus, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
