Position Summary:
The Journeyman Registered Ultrasonographic is involved with the day-to-day Ultrasound Department operations located within Diagnostic Imaging. The sonographer requires minimal supervision, performs diagnostic medical sonograms both general and vascular, provides quality patient care, and assumes responsibility for all ultrasound services offered. This position works closely and communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, lead sonographer, manager, Radiologists, providers, and all other clinic/hospital staff to ensure the highest quality of care to our patients. The employee will assist the Core Leader in meeting department goals and objectives
The Senior Registered Ultrasonographic is involved with the day-to-day Ultrasound Department operations located within Diagnostic Imaging. The sonographer requires minimal supervision, performs diagnostic medical sonograms both general and vascular, provides quality patient care, and assumes responsibility for all ultrasound services offered. This position works closely and communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, lead sonographer, manager, Radiologists, providers, and all other clinic/hospital staff to ensure the highest quality of care to our patients. The employee will assist the Core Leader in meeting department goals and objectives. Performs basic/complex general and vascular ultrasound exams and procedures and provides optimal assessment and diagnostic exams for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, utilizing specialized equipment to capture high-quality images.
Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment effectively.
Qualifications:
Required:
Education/Training: Graduation from an Ultrasound program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiologic Technology Education (JRCRTE), or equivalent education and experience.
Certification: Upon hire, must hold National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or be a National Registered Technologist – Sonography (R.T.(S)).
Licensure: Upon hire, must possess a National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred:
Two (2) years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
