The Process Optimization Specialist oversees the integration of processes with product development, taking charge of designing and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and enhance product quality for our valued customers.

Duties/Responsibilities: Product Collaboration • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure seamless product development, from the initial stages to the post-SOP (+ 6 months) phase, if needed. • Verify the feasibility of manufacturing processes.

Process Design • Establish cycle times in alignment with takt time and standard operations. • Create manufacturing routines. • Release comprehensive manufacturing process documents. • Initiate initiatives to reduce the Risk Priority Number (RPN).

Process Implementation • Develop production equipment specifications. • Train operators on robot interfaces, HMI screens, and process assembly and dismantling. • Coordinate with controls engineering and maintenance teams, as required. • Oversee production equipment construction. • Conduct equipment acceptance procedures. • Utilize lessons learned to establish best practices.

Engineering Change Management • Monitor prototype builds. • Update manufacturing routines.

Continuous Improvement • Analyze process productivity. • Implement action plans for process improvements. • Manage the performance of production equipment. • Ensure strict adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules and regulations. • Support the completion of any additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and engage with employees at all levels of the organization. • Exceptional organizational abilities, including effective prioritization and multitasking. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and robot programming. • Ability to interpret product and assembly process blueprints. • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC). • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Extensive expertise in Process and Manufacturing methods. • Proficiency in completing PFMEA, control plans, job instructions, tool routings, standard work, recommended spare parts, and preventative maintenance.

Education and Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Engineering or equivalent relevant technical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
