Our growing client is looking for a Sr. Manager Tax position offering $150K to $175K plus bonus, with a hybrid remote arrangement in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of public accounting experience, CPA or EA certification, and supervisory experience. A Master’s in Tax is preferred.
The role involves working with high-net-worth families and individuals, providing tax compliance, consulting, and wealth management services. Key responsibilities include client meetings, coordinating tax services, researching tax issues, staying current with tax legislation, reviewing tax returns and projections, and participating in virtual meetings.
The position requires strong leadership skills to coach and manage team members, troubleshoot software issues, and improve tax processes. The candidate should possess extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local income tax laws, proficiency in various software applications, and excellent communication skills.

Duties to include:
• Engage in regular client communication and relationship management
• Collaborate with external professionals to provide comprehensive client services
• Orchestrate and oversee tax services delivery, both in-house and externally
• Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to address compliance and planning issues
• Monitor tax legislation changes and disseminate knowledge within the organization
• Resolve complex client matters using expert judgment and experience
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
• Lead team operations, ensuring data accuracy and quality control of reports
• Review and validate tax-related deliverables, including returns and projections
• Participate in virtual meetings and foster internal networking to enhance efficiency
Qualifications:
· CPA or EA certification required
· 10+ years’ current public accounting experience preparing and reviewing all types of tax returns with related tax planning
· Supervisory/management experience required
· Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local income tax laws
· Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM and tax preparation and research software such as CCH Axcess (ProSystem Fx), Autoflow, and BNA Tax Planner
· Ability to plan and organize with a high degree of creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking
