Key Responsibilities:
Resident Evaluation & Treatment Planning: Assess residents’ speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
Activity Selection: Design activities that help residents improve independence in their daily activities.
Progress Monitoring: Observe and assess resident performance, adjusting treatments as necessary, and preparing detailed progress reports.
Rehabilitation Support: Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions.
Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the secure handling of confidential information.
Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
Licensing: Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License.
Experience: Prior experience is preferred, but not required.
