We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Director of Operations to lead our clients supply chain and manufacturing functions. This role balances operational excellence in legacy systems with driving innovation, supporting new product launches, and scaling capabilities. The ideal candidate excels at continuous improvement while building new processes and infrastructure. This position oversees senior leaders in Manufacturing, Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations.
Our client operates in a fast-paced environment dedicated to transforming over the counter proactive care solutions. They are developing a comprehensive suite of doctor-endorsed OTC products addressing routine and specific conditions with professional-grade effectiveness.
Requirements of the Senior Director of Operations:
10+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing, with 3+ years in senior leadership roles.
Demonstrated success managing both steady-state operations and high-velocity product launches in fast-paced environments.
Expertise in SIOP, demand planning, MRP/ERP systems, and forecasting, with strong analytical and project management skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and align stakeholders through clear communication and collaborative leadership.
Deep knowledge of OTC, wellness, and beauty products within CPG, with a strong foundation in cGMP and regulatory compliance.
Adept at operating in entrepreneurial, high-growth settings where agility, initiative, and multitasking are essential.
Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, and other process optimization methodologies to drive efficiency and scalability.
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities; global sourcing or multi-site manufacturing experience is a plus.
Responsibilities of the Senior Director of Operations:
Lead end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory, fulfillment, and vendor management, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Manage and mentor a cross-functional operations team, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Develop and monitor KPIs to enhance delivery performance, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Partner with R&D and commercial teams to execute new product launches, translating requirements into scalable operational plans.
Rapidly build adaptable workflows and supplier relationships to support fast-paced new product introductions and scale-ups.
Identify and resolve launch challenges such as sourcing constraints, production bottlenecks, and distribution issues.
Collaborate with Finance and other departments on SIOP planning, standard costing, and strategic alignment.
Ensure regulatory and quality compliance while leading capital expenditure initiatives and fostering a culture of agility and accountability.
