Senior Bridge Engineer

Compensation:

$125k to $160k salary

Salary is Negotiable – Commensurate with experience.

Job Responsibilities (What will the hire be doing in this role?): ​ 

  • Lead and manage projects for PennDOT, local governments and agencies predominantly in the Pennsylvania market and provide technical support to other bridge inspection projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. ​ 
  • Maintain relationships with PennDOT Central Office and PennDOT Districts throughout the Commonwealth. 
  • Manage client relationships with Public and Private Clients and consultant teaming partners. Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff and managing/coordinating NBIS bridge condition inspection projects for PennDOT and other clients. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (MUST)
  • Minimum of 8-12 years relevant work experience
  • Minimum 4-7 years of management experience
  • Licenses required: Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Essential Software required: MicroStation

Additional Required Attributes:

  • Pennsylvania CBSI and required refreshers.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff
  • Project Management Experience for PennDOT bridge inspection and design projects
  • NBIS bridge inspection and ancillary structure inspection experience
  • Bridge and structure load rating experience using PennDOT Software Suite, STAAD and other software packages.
  • Experience with scope and price proposal development for bridge inspection and related projects

Preferred Attributes (Attributes that aren’t required for hire but would set a candidate apart):

  • Excellent Communication Skills both oral and written.
  • ​​Experience with developing task order proposals, project scopes of work and fee estimates.​
  • Working relationships with PennDOT Central Office BOMO and PennDOT Districts throughout the Commonwealth
  • Experience with Bridge Inspections for DNREC or other local agencies.
