A leading biopharmaceutical company specializing in plasma-derived therapeutics and plasma collection centers is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager. In this key role, you will support the U.S. Finance Director in managing financial performance, ensuring tax compliance, and safeguarding the financial integrity of the Group. The Senior Accounting Manager is instrumental in optimizing working capital, enhancing internal controls, and driving strategic financial planning, directly contributing to the companies mission of delivering high-value therapeutics to patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred.
  • Experience working with Plasma companies or related required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting.
  • Experience with AP fixed asset management
  • Proficiency with ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, technical accounting, and tax compliance in a multi-national environment.
  • Familiarity with lease accounting (IFRS 16 or ASC 842).
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts payable, including vendor maintenance, invoice processing, GL coding, and payment scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance by preparing 1099s, W-9s, and managing bi-weekly payables.
  • Collaborate with payroll companies to input and reconcile payroll and related items.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes across multiple locations.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, including cash, receivables, prepaid expenses, inventory, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities.
  • Prepare detailed budget vs. actual analyses and align with the general ledger.
  • Assist in U.S. budget and forecast preparation and manage federal, state, and local tax filings in collaboration with an outsourced tax service provider.
  • Review and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
  • Manage lease accounting (IFRS 16 or ASC 842) for multiple locations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in accounting processes.
  • Support the accounting department during audits and contribute to special projects.
  • Calculate the cost of goods sold and various operational expenses.
  • Occasionally assist with center-level operations, including pricing and contract reviews.
  • Travel within the U.S. less than 10% of the time.
