School Based OT, Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Tuskegee, focusing on school-based settings. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the lives of students by providing therapeutic support tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within the school environment.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to promote student independence and participation in school activities.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care.
• Provide training and resources to school staff to support the implementation of therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals and accommodations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
