Our innovative client in the OTC healthcare product space is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Key Account Manager to lead the planning, execution, and growth of key national retail accounts—including CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Albertson’s, Kroger, and others. This individual will play a critical role in developing account strategies, managing cross-functional execution, and strengthening buyer relationships to achieve revenue and distribution goals.

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in account ownership within the CPG or healthcare sector and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Our client is going through a time of incredible growth, so the sky’s the limit for potential on their team. This full-time, on-site role is based at company headquarters in Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications of the Key Account Manager:
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or key customer-facing roles in CPG, healthcare, or wellness categories.

  • Strong familiarity with national retailers and e-commerce platforms; experience managing portals like Target POL, Walmart Retail Link, and Amazon Seller/Vendor Central.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Power BI).

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term planning.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to develop compelling selling stories and pitch decks for buyers, brokers, and senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and lead through influence.

  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and detail-oriented—thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities of the Key Account Manager:
  • Own and manage day-to-day and strategic relationships with key retail and e-commerce accounts.

  • Develop and execute tailored business plans for each account to drive sales, expand distribution, and enhance brand presence.

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for key buyers, brokers, and retail partners.

  • Partner with marketing, operations, and finance to deliver on account needs (e.g., promotional timelines, forecasts, sell-through, launch plans).

  • Drive seamless internal communication and alignment across departments to meet customer expectations.

  • Lead coordination and submission of retailer portal entries (e.g., new items, promotions, supply chain inputs).

  • Monitor account-level sales performance using tools like IRI, Nielsen, Power BI, and retail portals (e.g., Retail Link, Target POL).

  • Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to improve sell-through, reduce stockouts, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Present data-driven recaps, post-event summaries, and regular business reviews to internal stakeholders.

  • Build long-term relationships with buyers and decision-makers; represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.

  • Support broker management and sales enablement with relevant product collateral and assets.

  • Occasionally travel for in-person retail meetings, industry events, or trade shows (15% annually max).
