Daily Responsibilities:
Manage the community sales email address, responding to requests from plumbing contractors and MEP firms.
Quote pump systems based on bid documents and pump schedules provided by plumbing contractors.
Select and design pump systems for MEP firms based on project parameters (fixture counts, building heights, hydrant flow test results).
Process purchase orders for pump systems and components after engineer approval.
Follow up with factories on order status, and resolve shipping issues.
Facilitate startup requests by sending forms to contractors and service managers, and addressing any issues during startup.
Handle inquiries for replacement equipment from jobs that are 10-15 years old.
Collaborate with the service department on post-installation issues and warranty claims.
Travel Expectations & Association Meetings – This is primarily an inside sales role but does have some outside sales activities (all compensated for – including overtime pay)
Attend association meetings (ASPE, ASSE, ASHRAE) 2-3 times a month, often in the evenings, with all expenses paid and overtime compensation.
Manufacturer Visits: Travel out of state for training by factory directly on products about five times a year. Manufacturers are located in Wisconsin, Florida, upstate New York, Indiana, and California.
