Must have at least (10) years of environmental and industrial safety leadership including experience in the chemical industry.  This position will be responsible for ensuring the plant is operating within all applicable EHS laws and maintaining the safe operation of the complex (approximately 300 employees). Directly supervise a (15) person EHS department and report directly to the General Manager at the facility. Academic background is important – Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field such as safety, environmental or engineering.  CSP or CIH designation highly desired.      

Emphasis on safety leadership by advancing a culture of EHS excellence where everyone is engaged, empowered and innovative. Must have the ability to build relationships and credibility along with influencing the site regarding all EHS matters. Strong ethics and value-based organization. On the floor, roll up your sleeves manager. 

Candidate skill set should include the ability to lead a staff and program within the chemical industry; represent the company within the community; ability to present to all levels within the organization; cross functional within all areas of EHS.
