Registered Nurse – Postpartum (Nights) – Tulsa, OK

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Postpartum unit for night shifts in beautiful Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to postpartum patients, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and a smooth transition into parenthood. You will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement and evaluate individualized care plans, utilizing your strong clinical skills and dedication to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of postpartum patients.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in accordance with the medical plan of care and hospital policies.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and 1 responses to interventions.

  • Provide education and support to new mothers and their families on topics such as newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, lactation consultants, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Current and valid Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Two (2+) years of experience specifically in a mother/baby (postpartum) unit.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $65,000 – $82,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
  • Signing Bonus: $20,000
