Your Role:
As a Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care. You’ll foster therapeutic relationships with patients and families, while leading and supporting your healthcare team through effective communication, delegation, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and throughout care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with the patient and interdisciplinary team
- Document all care activities, observations, and changes promptly and accurately
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
- Assign and supervise team members (LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, ED Clerks, etc.)
- Promote safety and quality improvement by participating in performance initiatives
- Provide effective hand-offs and contribute to team huddles and care transitions
- Maintain annual competencies and uphold regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in Canada and eligibility to obtain Alabama RN license
- Will consider NEW Graduates or at least 1+ year acute care experience
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross (required upon start or within 6 months)
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently
- Specialty certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC) welcomed for unit-specific roles
