Title: Regional Sales Manager
Location: Remote (within the Northeast U.S.)
Travel: 60%–80% across a multi-state region (VA, KY, WV, OH, PA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME)
Overview:
We’re seeking a driven sales professional to oversee a large, multi-state territory in the Northeast region. This person will be responsible for expanding and managing relationships with contractors, engineering firms, distributors, and strategic partners in industries that demand high-level fire protection solutions, such as aviation, petrochemical, government, and industrial operations.
Core Responsibilities:
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical consultation, bid-specification, proposal, and close
Develop and manage territory plans across multiple market verticals
Act as a technical resource on fire protection products and systems for stakeholders including engineers, procurement firms, and end-users
Deliver solution-based sales using a combination of foam systems, suppression hardware, and mobile equipment
Stay up to date with applicable industry codes and fire safety standards, particularly for high-hazard or hydrocarbon risk applications
Represent the company at trade events and technical forums
Ideal Background:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering or related field (fire protection a plus)
3–10 years of experience in technical sales focused on fire protection, suppression systems, or fire safety technologies
Experience selling into one or more of the following verticals: oil & gas, aviation, marine, industrial, government/defense
Strong familiarity with bid-spec work, long sales cycles, and regional contractor/distributor networks
Bonus if you’ve worked for OEMs, fire systems integrators, or sprinkler contractors
Open to engineers or estimators transitioning into a sales-focused career
Strong territory management, forecasting, and communication skills
Ability to absorb technical product knowledge and confidently explain system benefits to various decision-makers
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 (depending on experience)
Realistic first-year total compensation: $145,000 – $170,000 (base + uncapped commission potential)
Up to $600/month car allowance
