Regional Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:  Principal responsibilities of the Regional Engineering Manager are:

  • To manage a team of primary project managers who are tasked to plan, budget, and implement capital projects from beginning to end for the expansion of facilities and improvement of production lines.
  • To assist the Directors of Operations in establishing their capital budgets.
  • To facilitate additional engineering resources as necessary.

Within that overall framework, this position will:

  • Oversee all construction sites and contractors in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Select and train a strong and motivated technical resource staff skilled in mechanical, electrical, industrial, and process engineering.
  • Provide the support required for evaluating processes, determining the best process to achieve objective, and implementing changes to improve quality and cost.
  • Train project managers, project manager trainees, construction managers, construction superintendents, etc. in the proper project management techniques.
  • Act as the Plant Engineer for a cook plant in Perry, GA.

Requirements

A BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Civil or Structural Engineering plus a minimum of 12 years of related work experience. Specific requirements include:

  • Technical experience in construction, refrigeration, poultry processing equipment, project management, and equipment layout.
  • A track record in problem solving, negotiating, managing people, and establishing and meeting schedules.
  • Frequent plant and project site visits are required; 20% travel can be expected.
