Job Summary:

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing key accounts in the rigid and flexible packaging industry. This role requires a strong background in packaging sales, business development, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling packaging solutions to large CPG’s in the food and beverage market.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in rigid and flexible packaging markets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

Account & Relationship Management:

  • Manage and expand relationships with key national and regional accounts.

  • Provide technical support and consultative selling to customers.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive account management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • Experience: 7+ years of sales experience in rigid and/or flexible packaging, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 50% depending on territory).
