My client is an International Manufacturer of paper products and specialty coatings.  They are seeking a Quality Manager to lead their quality department within their premier manufacturing plant in North America, located North of Syracuse, NY.  The Quality Manager is the quality assurance liaison between Production, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales and Suppliers.  They are responsible for assuring that all materials comply with customers’ quality specifications or get dispositioned in accordance with the company’s policies. This position also handles all customer complaints, their root cause analysis and development, and introduction of countermeasures.
 
Excellent career opportunity to be part of a stable, yet growing manufacturer, located in a low cost of living region of Upstate New York.  Onsite work is required, but a hybrid remote arrangement is possible with the blessing of the VP of Operations.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a BS degree or equivalent education, and 3 to 5 years of Quality Assurance experience within a Continuous Process manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in paper product converting, coating and basic quality testing and statistics strongly desired.
  • Must have at least 2 years of supervisory or management level experience.
  • Must have experience in Complaint systems as well as other Business Management software. SAP experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills in all different types of settings (internal operations, customers, suppliers, and international colleagues).
COMPENSATION:  Base salary target of $100K to $120K plus a 10% Annual Bonus.
