Psychiatry Core Faculty – Full-Time | Gainesville, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Days (Rotating Weekends)

Opportunity Overview:
A respected Psychiatry Residency Program in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join its Core Faculty. This role combines clinical work with a strong focus on teaching, mentorship, and program development, offering a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of psychiatrists.

Qualified Candidates Will Benefit From:
✔ Faculty appointment through an affiliated medical school
✔ Program accredited for 32 residents
✔ Department includes a 33-bed inpatient unit, consultation liaison service, PHP/IOP clinic, and ECT services
✔ Behavioral Health Center provides inpatient treatment for adults 18+ with acute psychiatric conditions
✔ Facility is a certified Baker Act Receiving Center, accepting voluntary and direct admissions
✔ Primary clinical focus on inpatient consults and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) care
✔ 24/7 resident coverage for consults, admissions, and emergencies
✔ Call rotation is 1:5 with supervision of 3–4 residents
✔ Involvement in structured didactics and academic activities
✔ Passion for teaching encouraged — new graduates welcome to apply
