Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a skilled Property Coverage Attorney to join its growing Insurance Coverage practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated property insurance matters for high-profile clients, handling complex coverage analysis, litigation, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and brings exceptional research, writing, and analytical capabilities to a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
3-8 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters
Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation
Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting, with demonstrated analytical rigor
Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials
Ability to manage time-sensitive and highly confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
Prior litigation experience, including depositions, hearings, and mediations, preferred
Key Responsibilities
Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide strategic recommendations to clients
Prepare correspondence and communications for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation
Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Westlaw
Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions
Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations
Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary:
Associate: $160,000 – $190,000
Senior Associate: $185,000 – $225,000
Senior Counsel: $220,000 – $260,000 Compensation is commensurate with experience, skill set, and level of hire.
