Job Title: Production Superintendent – Night Shift

Location: Manchester, Iowa

Salary: $75-100K 

Job Summary of the Production Superintendent: The Production Superintendent will supervise staff, and organize and monitor workflow on the night shift.

 Responsibilities of the Production Superintendent :

·         Maintain staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees.

·         Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods and implementing cost reductions;

·         Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules and resolving problems.

·         Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

·         Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques.

·         Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answer questions and respond to requests.

·         Creates and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.

·         Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

·         Identify and anticipate safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.

·         Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications of the Production Superintendent :

·         Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Industrial Engineering; Industrial Technology: Supply Chain; or other related field.

·         6 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

·         Prior experience with continuous process improvement.

·         Directly supervise 10 or more employees with high control over their activities.

·         Oversee the operations of two or more departments.

·         Act as the direct extension of the Director of Operations on the night shift.
