We are seeking a Process Engineer to enhance our medical device clients engineering team in the Northern Milwaukee area. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel to refine existing processes, ensuring they align with our clients stringent quality standards and meet customer demands. The Process Engineer’s contributions will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, safety, and excellence across operations.
Requirements of the Process Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in process development, preferably within extrusion or medical device manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment design, tooling development, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as DOE, MSA, FMEA, SPC, and capability analysis.
- Proven experience with equipment specification, supplier selection, and equipment procurement.
- Ability to design, develop, and validate complex manufacturing processes.
Qualifications of the Process Engineer:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing and extrusion processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Design, assemble, and debug equipment and tooling for both new and existing products.
- Plan and execute experiments, testing protocols, and process validations.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for process and equipment issues in manufacturing.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with maintenance and technical teams to transfer new technologies effectively.
- Lead cross-functional teams on value improvement, product transfers, and support projects.
- Establish project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics; track and report progress.
