About the Job:

This person will be a ‘do-it-all’ type engineer – this person will be working at a quickly-growing food additives company that has a new-to-market drying technology. In the past year, they’ve grown by 2x (from $10MM to about $17MM). The primary focus of this role will be process improvement, or as the hiring manager put it, “grab low hanging fruit”. Secondarily, this person will be evaluating operating using data analysis techniques, troubleshooting off-spec materials and production errors. This company has a large team of R&D chemists and this role will also get involved in commercialization of new products and processes.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. Chemical Engineering required
  • 3+ years of post-college industry experience out of foods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or other related industries
  • It would be a good thing if someone knew drying technologies, mixing/blending technologies, FDA/cGMP regulations, etc
  • This person should be able to demonstrate a track record of creative thinking and strong chemical engineering fundamentals
