Own major product development projects from concept to launch, define product architectures, and champion design reviews and standards adoption.
Develops industry leading residential and light commercial HVACequipment through, but not limited to, the use of Computer Aided Engineering procedures such as 1D and 2D simulations, CFD, FEA, 2D and 3D designs.
Development leadership continues through prototyping, test methoddevelopment, process improvements, data quality protocols, field trials, documentation of designs and safe production launch procedures. Mentoring of junior engineers and technicians is also expected.
Day to Day Tasks (primary responsibilities):
∙Own major product development programs; define system architectures and trade-offs (cost, performance,reliability).
Direct prototype builds and field validation testing; ensure standards compliance.
Champion design reviews; mentor and develop engineers across the NPD team.
Collaborate with sales/marketing leadership to define product requirements and roadmap alignment.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
The work environment for this role is typically an office setting, with occasional visits to manufacturing sites.
Ability to stand/walk during plant tours and lift up to 25 lbs for prototype evaluations. Adherence to PPE andsafety protocols required.
Required Education and Work Experience:
Graduate degree or demonstrated equivalent expertise in HVAC NPD.
8–12 years in HVAC product development; SME in at least one domain (DX, hydronic, controls).
Advanced skills in simulation, lab testing, and compliance systems.
Proven track record delivering complex products to market.
