Preconstruction Manager

Purpose
Oversee Alternative Project Delivery Method (APDM) projects from pursuit through Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead go/no-go decisions, SOQ development, and proposal quality control

• Coordinate with marketing, estimators, and design partners on APDM pursuits

• Develop preconstruction scope, budgets, cost models, and schedules

• Evaluate plans for constructability, value engineering, and risk management

• Manage design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and bidding processes

• Prepare and negotiate GMP packages; review contract language

• Facilitate preconstruction and transition meetings with project teams

• Ensure client satisfaction, compliance, and adherence to safety policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Construction or Civil Engineering preferred

• 10+ years of construction experience with supervisory background

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Knowledge of APDM processes, estimating, scheduling, and contract negotiation

• Valid driver’s license; for company vehicle
