Plant Systems Administrator (Windows/VMware)
Location: Charleston, SC

Must be a US citizen or current green card holder.

We are a North American manufacturing leader seeking an experienced Plant Systems Administrator to manage the IT infrastructure at our two facilities. Based in Charleston, SC, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring reliable and secure operations of our manufacturing systems.

If you have strong expertise in Windows, Active Directory, and VMware and enjoy working closely with Operations and Engineering teams to enhance processes, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer physical and virtual servers, focusing on Windows servers running on VMware.
  • Manage Active Directory, ensuring security, backup, and recovery in the plant environment.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to protect systems from threats.
  • Oversee Thin Manager, Thin Clients, and operator stations.
  • Work with engineering teams to implement changes while following IT change management processes.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with vendors as needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to IT teammates in systems administration and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in IT, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong experience with Windows, Active Directory, and VMware environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Preferred experience with Cisco Nexus, Siemens Industrial network equipment, VSAN, VMware 7, Veeam, and FortiGate firewalls.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
