Roles and Responsibilities

• Medication Preparation: Prepare, compound, and dispense medications based on prescriptions.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with medical professionals to optimize patient care.

• Record Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure proper medication storage.

• Patient Education: Provide guidance on medication use, interactions, and side effects.

• Quality Improvement: Participate in pharmacy department initiatives to enhance patient care quality.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Active Registered Pharmacist license in the State of New York (or ability to obtain).

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.

• Skills: Proficiency with computers and pharmacy management systems.

• Availability: Must be willing to work onsite and cover evening shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Residency training experience.

• 1+ years of experience with Epic systems.

• Retail pharmacy background.
