Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Navigator to join our team. As a key liaison between patients and healthcare staff, you will ensure a smooth patient experience by providing support and assistance throughout their visit. Your work will contribute to improving patient satisfaction and coordinating services for diagnostic and biopsy appointments. This is a weekend position with hours every Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assistance & Coordination:
Escort patients to the changing area and ensure they feel comfortable.
Track patient flow and monitor those currently in changing areas.
Assist with obtaining and confirming physician’s orders as needed.
Help schedule follow-up appointments for diagnostic or biopsy patients.
Work closely with biopsy and BIC coordinators to streamline services.
Communicate with staff regarding patient needs and appointment coordination.
Facility Maintenance & Supplies:
Maintain cleanliness and stock dressing rooms with necessary supplies.
Handle laundry tasks, including sending and receiving dry cleaning.
Notify staff of supply needs to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: Clerical or clinical experience preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
