About the Role
Join our growing real estate client in their legal team as a Real Estate Paralegal in Santa Monica. This hybrid position offers the perfect balance of in-office collaboration (4 days) and remote work flexibility (1 day per week). This role offers excellent growth potential for a detail-oriented paralegal looking to specialize in real estate law within a corporate environment.
What we are looking for
· Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved school
· 3+ years of law firm and/or in house experience as a paralegal in commercial real estate
· Strong title and survey experience is required
· Bachelor’s degree a plus
What You’ll Do
As a Real Estate Paralegal, you’ll provide crucial support to the legal real estate team handling a variety of specialized tasks including:
- Conducting comprehensive lease and REA reviews to identify exclusives, use restrictions, and preparing detailed schedules for pad sales and anchor lease transactions
- Performing due diligence assessments on legal documents, interpreting complex clauses and providing written evaluations
- Drafting real estate legal documents including REA amendments, purchase agreements, and CC&Rs
- Managing critical dates and deadlines for anchor projects
- Coordinating title information processes, resolving title issues, and maintaining legal databases
- Researching property ownership histories and confirming fee and leasehold ownership
- Supporting due diligence needs for shopping center sales and managing estoppel certificate processes
- Facilitating documentation for large transactions, including execution, delivery, and maintenance of closing binders
- Handling escrow transactions for land sales and processing various certificates and agreements
Competitive Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000 annually plus bonus 15% eligibility
