As our Sales Engineer, you will be vital in continuing the efforts of attracting new customers and increasing the spend of existing customers.

This role is challenging and rewarding, giving the successful candidate an opportunity to develop and grow existing and NEW opportunities in an untapped region, and allowing the candidate to develop a territory with unlimited commission potential.



  • The position will be customer-facing, strategizing and determining a solution to win the order
  • You will present technical solutions to key decision makers
  • As a developer of business, you will schedule appointments, prepare and deliver presentations to the client, and research businesses and their potentials.
  • Maintain customer relationships and ensuring customer loyalty through excellent customer service
  • Meet all client needs appropriate to their application requirements
  • Work as part of a team with other departments within the organization to create and implement a strategy to achieve optimal success with each opportunity
  • Analyze technical challenges and determine a solution to implement the developed application
  • Develop an excellent working knowledge of our technical automation product lines.
  • Work from a home office, with the option of working from our Elgin, IL office with minimal overnight travel, and occasional travel for vendor training
  • Some evening or weekend work may be expected to meet deadlines or urgent customer driven support demands
  • Set up and attend 6-8 face-to-face visits per week.


  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience and knowledge with PLC, HMI, robotics, sensors, safety, machine vision and industrial motion control products is a plus
  • Experience in automation or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Sales and strong communication skills a plus
