Responsibilities will include:
Laboratory Innovation
- Design groundbreaking experiments: Create and test novel Nanopore library preparation methods
- Push technical boundaries: Experiment with unconventional sample types and challenging genomic regions
- Develop new protocols: Optimize workflows for MinION, GridION, and PromethION platforms
Computational Experimentation
- Build next-generation pipelines: Develop experimental bioinformatics workflows using Python, R, and emerging tools
- Explore uncharted data: Analyze complex genomic datasets to uncover novel biological insights
- Create custom solutions: Design specialized analysis approaches for unique experimental challenges
Essential Qualifications:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Bioinformatics with 0-5 years postdoctoral experience
- Proven experimental mindset: Track record of designing and executing novel research approaches
- Technical expertise: Hands-on experience with Nanopore sequencing and computational genomics
- Programming skills: Proficiency in Python, R, and command-line tools
