NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (Microsoft)

How did work go today?  What did you do?  Did you invest in forward looking projects or fight fires?  How about thanks and appreciation? Did you get to see the impact of your efforts on the business?  Are you ready to grow your career and enhance the scope of your work?

If you are growing weary of the grind, and are thinking about being at a place where your efforts are recognized and you can make an impact, keep reading.

Our client is a well-established, progressive and dynamic small firm based in northeast suburb of Columbus.  An entrepreneurial firm, organized as a parent company with seven or so subsidiaries.  They have a rare opportunity for a Network Administrator to join the organization.

Why this one?

  • You’ll grow your breadth of knowledge, and not simply be a small piece of a big machine.  If you are a network person and want to learn storage, it ain’t happening in a big shop.  From desktop to server to network to telecom to the next generation of hardware and software, it’s yours.
  • You’ll be close to the business, working with folks ranging from C level to people in field offices.
  • You’ll be embraced by a company culture that is inclusive and supportive with picnics, sports events, and community causes.
  • This business runs during the day, so there’s rarely a need for on call or off-hours work. It’s as close to a “normal” work schedule as you’ll get.
What’s it take to be successful here?

This is a Microsoft shop with a smattering of supporting tools and technologies thrown in.  You’ll have Windows client / server / terminal server management, experience with VEEAM, Watchguard Firewalls, Office 365, MDT/WDS, 3CX PBX, or similar.  All the usual stuff with like monitoring and troubleshooting and supporting end users, plus experience with HW / SW selection and upgrades to the environment, tuning load balancing for performance, and making sure the security architecture is solid.

What’s Next?

If growing your breadth of knowledge, being close to the business  and being valued is where you want to be, then let’s talk to see if this might be the next step in your career.
