Position: NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Tech

Location: Danville, VA 

Medium size business in the Danville area providing Defense Training and Manufacturing is looking to hire NDT techs (2)

The individuals must have NDT minimal experience but they do not need to be certified.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Nondestructive experience will include some but are not limited to:

o   Delivering instruction

o   Advising students

o   Lab set-up and tear-down

o   Monitoring consumables

o   Supporting curriculum development

·        Curriculums to be taught will include: NDT methods Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT)

REQUIREMENTS

·        NAVSEA experience a plus

o   American Society for Nondestructive Testing 

§  Radiographic Testing (RT)

§  Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

§  Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

§  Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)

§  Visual & Optical Testing (VT)

·        Experience training and/or teaching in NDT or a related field

·        Experience in submarine industrial base a huge plus

·        Familiarity with NAVSEA Technical Publication for NDT Methods

·        Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) and experience with NDT of welds a plus.

–        Due to contracts with the United States Government, candidates must be either US Citizens or US Permanent Residents
