As a Metrologist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest technical specifications and standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Calibrate and certify test equipment to meet precise technical specifications.
- Apply inspection and testing methods to manufacture products that exceed customer expectations.
- Examine manufactured products and services to ensure they align with customer requirements.
- Develop programs utilizing Vision Systems to enhance quality control.
- Preserve and maintain the plant’s inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
- Create comprehensive work instructions for measuring equipment.
- Train staff on the correct use and handling of measuring tools.
- Support the development of corrective and preventive action plans.
- Conduct necessary measurements on first production parts for machine release.
- Provide customer support, including line trials, site testing, and quality notifications.
- Analyze data and prepare summaries to validate or identify deviations from existing standards.
- Facilitate effective communication between management and operators.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of injection defects and assemblies.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing plant.
- Familiarity with Vision systems or CMM
- GD&T experience
- Experience with statistical process control.
- An Associate’s Degree or higher in metrology, mathematics, science, or a related field.
- Experience in providing Quality Systems training to employees.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, QA applications, and general mathematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- At least 3 years of experience in Quality or Metrology, with a preference for experience in the plastics industry.
