We’re seeking a highly technical and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to play a vital role in enhancing equipment performance, optimizing manufacturing processes, and leading capital improvement projects in a metal fabrication environment. This position requires daily engagement with production teams, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing process upgrades to drive operational efficiency.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Enhancing Equipment & Systems – Perform mechanical design, calculations, and CAD modeling to upgrade or modify machinery
- Hands-On Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic equipment failures to prevent downtime
- Process Optimization – Analyze production workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement operational improvements
- Project Leadership – Manage capital investment projects, including equipment selection, vendor coordination, and installation oversight
- Standardizing Procedures – Develop technical documentation, operational best practices, and safety guidelines to improve efficiency and compliance
- Promoting a Safe Work Environment – Ensure all engineering activities align with plant safety protocols and regulatory standards
What You Need to Succeed
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering is required
- 5-7+ years of experience in metal fabrication, CNC machining, or industrial manufacturing
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities – Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery
- Technical skills in CAD/SolidWorks – Proficiency in mechanical design, tooling, and process development
- Process Improvement Mindset – Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications are a plus
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to assess issues, develop solutions, and drive efficiency improvements
