Privately owned company in the greater Knoxville, TN area has immediate opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Will work with SolidWorks software to design equipment and components. Will also develop test fixtures for validation.
This is a hands-on role working with a small Engineering team focused on improving medical devices. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with customers to understand and resolve product issues, or to extend life of product. Will also improve product design for ease of manufacturing for injection molded, machined, sheet metal, and cast components.

Qualified candidates must have BS Engineering degree (ME or MET is best). Prefer at least 5+ years of design experience in a manufacturing environment.
